What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is the ground-breaking removable brace that’s responsible for straightening over 4 million smiles. Invisalign is an excellent option if you’re looking to discreetly and comfortably transform your smile, and is considered to have revolutionised orthodontic treatment.
If you would like to straighten your teeth, but don’t like the thought of brackets and wires, then Invisalign clear braces could prove to be the ideal solution. Invisalign uses a series of virtually invisible custom-made, removable aligners designed to gradually and gently move your teeth into the desired position.
You’ll need to wear each set of your bespoke Invisalign aligners for two-week increments, only removing them when eating or brushing your teeth; this usually equates to around 20-22 hours a day. Each set of aligners will gradually move your teeth little-by-little until they reach their final position. During this time you will have regular check-ups at West 1 Dental Clinic in order to monitor your progress and ensure everything is moving correctly and in the right direction. As you progress through your series of Invisalign aligners, your teeth will begin moving, little by little, gradually moving towards the projected final position.
Invisalign clear braces can help with
• Crowded and crooked teeth
• Wide spacing between teeth
• Cross bites – where one or more of your upper teeth bite on the inside of your lower teeth
• Under bites – where your lower teeth sit in front of your upper teeth
• Deep bites – where your upper teeth overlap your bottom teeth (some overlap is desirable).
While Invisalign is a great option for many patients looking to improve their smile, your suitability for the treatment will depend on your individual requirements and other treatments may be more suitable.
